Mike Lennon
House, Electro, Breaks, and now Dubstep, 28 year old Mike Lennon has spann(er)ed the genres since his first release in 2007, Click Factor, such a contrasting and diverse musical history (Playing Drum & Bass at free parties since aged 13 in Penzance, Cornwall), has led to some stellar productions.
Having been to a Bob Marley concert while still in the womb, Mike is a big fan of low frequency Sub-Bass, and much of this first live gig has clearly rubbed off on his current works.
Mary Anne Hobbs played the Reso remix of his first Dubstep release Brass Eye on Radio One in 2008 and he has remixed and been remixed by the likes of:
Si Begg, Alex Patterson, Rusko, Reso, Bar 9, David Forbes.
Mike Lennon is certainly one to watch in the ever growing slew of new Dubstep talent in the world, having broken into the Dubstep scene at a late stage in the game, Mikes job at Z Audio gives him an easy route to market for his product.
After a whole raft of killer remixes Mike's detailed re-rubs are sought after to the point Mike has more remixes out than original works.
Having worked for 6 years in vinyl sales (Intergroove, SRD, ZAudio) Mike has a good grasp of what smashes it and what doesn't.
With his busy production schedule taking up most of his time and him having to deal with a key meter for the electric and failing batteries in the wireless keyboard & mouse it's a wonder anything gets done at all!
With a number of releases under his belt and many more forthcoming (Some goodness ready for Scarcity as well), the future's looking bright for this talented young Londoner!!
